A total of 340 students, 48 teaching and non teaching staff of Nikita Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Nikita International School of Studies in Thekkalur, Tamil Nadu, India created a mosaic measuring 8m x 8m from sidewalk chalk sticks on 5 September 2012. The chalk mosaic was made by using 108,504 chalk pieces in 4 different colours on the theme of "Education for All".
