The furthest throw of an item with an unaided arm is 1,333 feet (406 metres). Erin Hemming, 26, from Mendocino, California (USA), accomplished this unwieldy feat on 14 July 2003 at the Golden Gate National Recreation Centre near Fort Funston, San Francisco (USA) when he threw an Aerobie Pro flying ring, further than anyone has ever thrown any object in the history of measurement. The distance was measured four times with a Leica Laser Rangefinder.
