Peace Piece Project at Hiroshima Shudo University, Hiroshima, Japan, on 29 August 2009.

The largest paper crane was constructed on 10 November 1999 in the Seattle Kingdome. The "Wings for Peace" crane stood 120 feet high with a wingspan of 215 feet 8 inches. A total of 10,000 children from the US, Japan, Canada and Australia participated in the project by sending pieces of paper, 3' x 30' in size (640 inches total). The event was organized by the non-profit organization World Peace Project for Children.
